紙間的白蟻
我發現大部分我認識的
詩人有個問題就是
他們從來沒有過八小時的工作
而再也沒什麼
能夠讓一個人
接觸到更多的
現實
像八小時的活兒一樣了。
多數我所知道的
這些詩人
似乎
是獨自存在空氣裡的
但是
又不盡然如
此：
在他們背後
一直有個親人
通常是太太或者是老媽
支撐著這些靈魂
然後
啊也難怪
他們寫得那麼地
爛：
避開所有的現實
從
一開始就是
而他們
什麼都不懂除了
他們指甲的
末端
和
他們嬌貴的
髮線
以及他們的淋巴
結。
他們的文字是
死氣沉沉，毫無建設，不
真實的，還有更糟的是超級
趕流行地
乏味至極。
軟弱又嚴肅
他們聚在一起
密謀，仇視，
八卦，大部分的這些
美國詩人們
莽撞急促地推銷他們
自以為
崇高
的才能。

噢那個字需要重新
詮釋。
每當我聽到那個
字
我就感到一種不適從我的
腸胃冒上來
像是就要
吐了一樣。
讓他們擁有
舞台好了
只要
我不會
是
觀眾之一就好。

the problem is that I've found with
most poets that I have known is that
they've never had an 8 hour job
and there is nothing
that will put a person
more in touch
with the realities
than
an 8 hour job.
most of these poets
that I have known
have
seemingly existed on air alone
but
it hasn't been truly
so:
behind them has been
a family member
usually a wife or mother
supporting these souls
and
so it's no wonder
they have written so
poorly:
they have been protected
against all the actualities
from the
beginning
and they
understand nothing
but the ends of their
fingernails
and
their delicate
hairlines
and their lymph
nodes.
their words are
unlived, unfurnished, un-
true, and worse-so
fashionably
dull.
soft and sage
they gather together to
plot, hate,
gossip, most of these
American poets
pushing and hustling their
talents
playing at
greatness.
poet (?):
that word needs re-
defining.
when I hear that
word
I get a rising in the
gut
as if I were about to
puke.
let them have the
stage
so long
as I need not be
in the
audience.
