        人死時的鐘聲，詩中常用的 symbol，可是在這首詩中，
        它由最初的「死亡鐘聲」變成更深一層的東西，
        最後明顯有除去舊事物迎接新事物的意思。

: Ring out the grief that saps the mind,
: For those that here we see no more(這句接上一句)
: those是代表什麼
        過世的人，但可以引申為其它東西。

: Ring out a slowly dying cause,
: dying要怎麼解釋比較好
        勢微衰敗中的？

: Ring in the nobler modes of life,
: With sweeter manners, purer laws.
: sweeter manner和purer laws怎麼解釋
        更好的禮法吧。

: Ring in the love of truth and right,
: 這句不太懂
: Ring in the common love of good.
: 這句也不太懂
        基本上，這首詩到後來 ring in 的都是好東西，
        ring out 的都是壞東西，所以 truth and right 是指
        「真理與正義」；common love of good 應該是良知。

: Ring in the valiant man and free,
: The larger heart, the kindlier hand;
: Free是自由(名詞)嗎
        詩中為了節奏有時會將字置換──
        ring in the free and valiant man
        〈所以應該是自由，但不是名詞〉。

: Ring in the Christ that is to be.
: to be怎麼解釋  是解釋成「鳴鐘迎入存在的基督」嗎
        嗯，應該是「將會成為」，而不是已存在的。

: PS : 英文詩好難懂喔  該怎麼樣讀才能懂呢
:      有時許多字查了字典仍然不能很確定地
:      告訴自己它所要表達的意思  而且有些還寫得更文言
:      都看不太懂@@
        誤解詩意是一定會發生的，別太灰心，無法理解也是正常的，
        如果有老師帶會有幫助，如果沒有可以善用手邊的資源。
        我會建議第一次閱讀先不要擔心生字，抓個大概的感覺就可以，
        至少知道作者想表達什麼。接下來再確定自己能夠了解字面上的意義，
        然後最後再往細節看，思考可能引申的方向及表面下更深的意象。
        節奏感和一些 poetic device 都要注意，
        好的詩不會用沒有意義的 device。
