Alcoholic Thoughts


Single but not alone
I see,
With every drop of inspiration
Dripping through fingers once cold
Pumping flows to heat the fire
Sending prayers to the skies up high
Vaporized, so be the fate
So be the fate, though such loss is great
Smoking the room with dizziness of spring,
Ethereal sweep by tender mountain mist,
Moisture to feed what hungry hollowness
Or so it seems,
    Or so it seems…

Rejuvenation,
Oh what many still seek.
From pure to gold not of my work
Yet still I take hold,
    Or thought I'd hold…
The essence I bought
The poison of old.
Yes, should it be good
Forgetfulness was never my guest
The big red apple was not for my delight
How I wished the kiss
    Never, never, never…
To approach a fool as I,
Annoying morning call to return from
Garden of green, so hard to reach
Maybe a simple glance back…
Now in balance as nature behold
Now I reign and all law shall bow

Rainy night of cloudless sky
Answer me if you are kind:
Who am I now deaf and blind?
Troubles I seek in pages and scrolls
Whipping wound in every concern
Should I be what chess piece of crystal?
Set on board of fine cherry wood
To pursue and to fight
Defender of faith or Scourge of disgrace
I huff and puff and wreck havoc or such
Big bad lawyer is not the intention
Of a cockroach petrified in time.

Sure! Some more! Please
As long as, if I may
      If I may
If I may borrow rain and shine
If I exclude what haunting despair
Clinging on the ones craving death…
Thus blooms in delight,
     Thus fully possessed
Glittering dust confusing the mind
Yet why fear danger in the faeriequeen's domain?
Catching cold of burning zeal
Streaming thought in tapping feet
Running keyboard in country dance's beat
Fiddle to string a carpet of joy
Day of rest, day of rest…
Beers be passed as cakes spill warmth
With bellies filled and hearts in gay
In passionate notes of praises to sing
   I sing hi,
      I sing ho
Should simplicity be true or
Dizzy words be followed?
But do keep pace!
If pleasure be swift,
So should pains be haste
Thus sing along…
Thus sing along!
"Hallelujah! The blessed of names
I bring offering as I bring praise!
Humble servant and lamb so weak
Redeemer of soul and healer of sin
I sing mirth as I indulge!
Always, always, always…"
