The Key Master When helmets full of brilliant jewel, Flooding our path by treachery and thrill, I stand to lead a pact as wild, Fighting millions before a hero's desire: That blood be covered as carpet to span, By what we seek can we keep our stand. For we are doomed, as will all become, But courage and glory breeds the darkest of grease, And by paving my path, I walk on with my sacred artifact, Before my fate is sealed, Until my quill ceases cold… But I have spurred, Though all thereafter will never be a match, Where justice be done Through the slaughter of weeds, Bearing the same wary eyes That sounds my vigorous war cry, To follow a choice which no paper can span, Fire within gold is not for shadow and night. But only after all ceases in whisper, Can many begin to understand: What we have served is the fiercest of lions, A beast of what all its youth can muster, Though I burden to bear its banner.
