Since you had conquered, Why didn't you occupy? Savage power Sacked and burned every inch, Then, you went away. Since you seized trophies, Why didn't you enslave me? Burning ruins Was extinguished by the indifferent rain. Then, mad was I! Since you went away with jolly yells, Why were you still lingering between The boundary, Our boundary; as if their was a real line, Between Savage and Civilization— If the ambiguous whip keeps Lashing me now and then, If you come back again, Rape and burn again and again— Then why, why I can not… Can not fight? Can not defend? Can not flee? Can not yield? No Peace! “Vae Victis!” * “Vae Victis!”: “Woe betide the defeated!” -- http://www.wretch.cc/blog/kamadevas\ -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 59.112.98.168
