[創作] An extension of korn31910's "Cats in Cages"

創作動機: 跟korn31910兄交流了一些想法
          根據我對他原作的解讀
          創作了一個延伸的詮釋.
          把一些像是racial discrimination, social class, fate等的議題
          以貓咪作主角
          用寫景的方式加以烘托.
          HOPE YOU LIKE IT.




Locked and crippled
In the dungeons enshrouded
In a haze of rusty blue and red,
Those in tabby, shabby patterns
Utter not a single word but fluently eat
And sleep — the sole language they repeat.

With eyes as blanched
As the blank hollows in limbo,
They behold the young,
Alas, so young and just young,
Gracefully peacock down the street,
Half gliding with their velvet tails
Swaying like a tiger's prowling trails.

Mumbling a blues-workingman song
These in torn blue and red
Start to be and never cease to be,
And they harp on how expensive
And noble an American shorthair
Is destined and meant to forever be.
