The Concrete is Surprisingly Warm --Collaged from shredded lines in Mary Cross's "Art of Place" Workshop The concrete is surprisingly warm A wonder-bread sandwich in a bubble-wrap bag Over stuffed everything I used to steal them, keeping them in the small staff fridge Until I could bring them home in bunches at the end of the day Look at all the pipes Irish blessing: As you slide down the banister of life May the splinters never point the wrong way There are signs boasting the 2K9 opening night and I think to myself: “God, I am so glad I quit this job!” The murmur of people with high ceilings above them This is a hideout.
