Special Shows To Ring In Smashing Pumpkins' 20th

The Smashing Pumpkins will celebrate their 20th anniversary with a handful of
U.S. shows in August and September, according to the band's Web site.
Details have yet to be announced, but frontman Billy Corgan told Billboard.com
in March the group would hit Chicago, New York and Los Angeles, among other
locales, and that guests will appear at some of them.
Meanwhile, in a video interview with Artisan News, Corgan revealed that a DVD
chronicling a summer 2007 residency at San Francisco's Fillmore is in the
works. Also in the pipeline: the release of early Pumpkins demos and a new
single in the fall.
"We're hoping to put out some early demos at the end of this year to start a
rolling boxed set," Corgan told Billboard.com. "There's an audience out there
that wants to hear the fourth show we ever did with the song we only did that
one time. Maybe it's only 500 people, but maybe you find a way."
