My name is Elaine.
我的英文名字叫做Elaine，中譯往往翻成伊蓮、伊萊恩。
這個名字是在我小三去佳音上兒童美語的時候老師幫我取的，
當時也不知道為何老師要幫我取名為Elaine,
小時候呆呆的，並沒有問老師原因，
但是我很喜歡這個名字，因為她不像Mary, Jenny那樣普遍，
我喜歡與眾不同，Elaine這名字挺少人有的，甚至還有人不會念，
因此之後從來沒有改過英文名字，而Elaine這個名就一直跟我跟到了現在。
我忘記是哪位老師告訴我Elaine這個名字是從法文演變而來的，
到了大二上法文課，才從法文老師那裡得到證實，原來Elaine(英)=Helene(法)，
很神奇吧，兩個看似根本不一樣的名字，卻是一樣的！
也學了一首法文歌，歌名是Je m'appelle Helene(我的名字是Helene)，
很好聽唷，但我不知道是誰唱的，也不知道是哪個年代的歌曲，
不過近幾年台灣歌手蔡淳佳有翻唱成中文歌，歌名是「依戀」(伊蓮諧音依戀)。
Elaine蘊含的意思是「被人形容為美麗的金髮女子，精明有商業頭腦，不但友善還是個很好的朋友」，
我沒有金髮，但我希望我能人如其名，精明附有商業頭腦，哈哈！
紅級一時的台灣偶像劇「命中注定我愛你」劇中的女主角陳欣怡的英文名字也叫做Elaine,
我猜想從那時開始才比較多人知道Elaine這麼名字吧！(包括Elaine的念法)
