標題[問題] 錄取後，一個禮拜變拒絕？

上禮拜收到UCSD的錄取信 Dear Mr. XXX, I am writing to congratulate you on your nomination for admission to the UCSD/ECE graduate program for Fall Quarter, 2011. Enclosed please find the letter we have submitted on your behalf to the Office of Graduate Studies. You should be hearing from Graduate Studies in the very near future. Again, congratulations on your nomination, 信裡還有個附件，PDF檔 Dear Mr. XXX, It gives me great pleasure to inform you that the Admissions Committee has recommended your admission to the Master of Science program in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering for Fall Quarter, 2011. Formal notification of your admission will be made shortly by the Office of Graduate Studies (OGS), but I wanted to let you know of our recommendation as soon as possible. (另外說希望我能儘快做決定，做好決定寄信給某某某 而有任何問題請連絡我的advisor某某某 和一些官腔的話，因為比較多 所以下省略 PDF檔最後簽名的是他們電機系系主任) ------------------------------ 沒想到隔一個禮拜後我收到這封信 ------------------------------ Dear XXX, Your application for graduate study in the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) program majoring in Nanoscale Devices and Systems, at the University of California, San Diego has been carefully reviewed. We regret to inform you that you have not been selected for admission. A number of factors are considered in evaluating each application. Please be aware that UCSD receives a very large number of applications and many excellent candidates could not be offered admission. Unfortunately, we are only able to extend offers to a limited number of qualified applicants. 一樣信裡還有個附件，附件內容也跟這封信差不多 簽名的人都是dean(教務長、院長) of graduate studies 怎麼會這樣呢? 我覺得有點離譜，能否請有類似經驗的人跟我講一下是怎麼回事 今天是星期六也沒人上班，也暫時沒辦法去問 PS. 下午3點收到這封信的，這時候不是加州的凌晨嗎= =? -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 111.248.7.186
