[問題] Pratt Institute Associate Degree's Program

大家好 想請教一下Pratt Institute 的Associate's Degree Program算是碩士學位嗎?

我朋友原本是申請一般的graduate program 被拒絕後 學校改建議她這個Program

不知道大家有推嗎?畢業之後的就業發展會不會跟一般graduate program差很多阿?

Although we sincerely regret that you were not accepted to the graduate
program at Pratt Institute to which you applied for fall 2011, I would like
to suggest an option that may interest you.

I hope you will seriously consider our two-year Associate's degree (AOS)
program in in graphic design, illustration or digital design and interactive
media at our Manhattan campus. We are fully aware that you may have offers of
admission from other graduate programs, but Pratt's AOS program

(1) Is appropriate for students with some college or a college degree looking
for a career change as an alternative to a graduate degree.
(2) Is perfect for the student without a significant background in art and
design but a strong interest.
(3) Is a highly focused career track AOS degree (Associate's in Occupational
Studies) for students who wish to change careers and are looking for an
intensive program
(4) Offers a strong foundation in design along with capstone courses,
internship opportunities, and a professional portfolio upon graduation.
(5) Is offered during the day for full-time students.

Located at Pratt's Manhattan campus on 14th Street between 6th and 7th Aves,
convenient to subway and other mass transportation, the program is extremely
appealing to students looking for a rapid immersion in these design
disciplines. Housing is available on the Brooklyn campus.

→ OscarJeff:Associate's Degree就是所謂的"副學士"學位，相當於台灣
→ OscarJeff:的專科畢業，比大學畢業的學位還要低，當然跟碩士差很多
推 catmiu:講難聽一點就是雖然進不了碩士班,但學校還是想賺你錢
→ Nozaki:是喔 他說會有實習 那畢業後好找工作嗎?
→ Nozaki:設計領域會不會沒像工程一樣那麼注重碩士學位?
→ OscarJeff:是沒那麼注重學位沒錯，問題是以美國目前的景氣，設計業
→ OscarJeff:除非實力超強，加上好機運，不然也不太容易找到工作。
