Call for Applications to Fellowship and Admission of
Foreign Nationals Educated Abroad (2011)

The PhD School of Neuroscience of Sapienza University of Rome,
Italy, offers one three-year Ph.D. fellowship for attaining the
degree of “Dottore di Ricerca” (Ph.D.) in the Doctoral Course
of “Psychobiology and Cognitive Neuroscience”, including the
curriculum in “Neuropsychology and Cognitive Neuroscience”
(coordinator Prof. Fabrizio Doricchi, [e-mail]).
The research performed during the Ph.D. program will preferentially
deal with one of the following topics:

1. Spatial Attention and Space Representation;
2. Navigation and Topographical Orientation;
3. Children’s Dyslexia;
4. Numerical Cognition;
5. Body Schema and Body Representation;
6. Working, Visuospatial and Implicit Memory.

Please directly contact Prof. Doricchi for further details on the Ph.D.
training.

The fellowship amounts to € 19.800,00 per year before tax;
this amount includes national insurance contributions (INPS)
that fellowship recipients are required to pay (8.90% for 2010).
Applications are opened to candidates who:

1. are not Italian citizens;
2. are not residents of Italy;
3. have obtained an academic qualification abroad by a non-Italian
   institution satisfying the entrance requirements for admission to
   the Doctoral Program, i.e., a degree equivalent to the Italian
   diploma di laurea/laurea specialistica/laurea magistrale, or expect to
   obtain it before 31 July 2011.

The awardee candidate will start the program on November 1, 2011. Further
