要證 lim f(x) 不存在, 即是證明:
     x→0
For any real number L, L 不是 f(x) 當 x→0 時的極限.


假設以上 "lim f(x) 不存在" 的陳述不對, 那就是說:
  For some L in R, lim f(x) = L.
也就是說:
  For any e>0, there exists d>0 s.t.
        |f(x)-L|<e  whenever 0<|x-0|<d.

因此, 要證明 "lim f(x) = L 不成立", 即是證明
  存在 e>0 s.t.
    for any d>0,
       存在 x s.t.
         0<|x-0|<d but |f(x)-L|>e.

注意
   f(x) = 1  when x>0,  and = -1 when x<0
因此, for any L in R,
  |f(x)-L| = 1 + |L|  iff.
                 (x>0 and L≦0) or (x<0 and L≧0)

這表示:
  取 e in the interval (0,1), 例如 e=1/2, 則
  不論 d 取多小, 只要 d>0, 都可找到 x 滿足
        0<|x-0|<d and |f(x)-L|>e.
  具體的取法是:
    L≧0 時可在區間 (-d,0) 取 x 值;
    L≦0 時可在 (0,d) 取 x.

這完成了 "lim f(x) = L 不成立" 的證明.
