Two of the early season pace setters face each other at the Stadio Artemio
Franchi as Fiorentina and Livorno clash in a Tuscan derby. Sitting fourth and
third respectively in the table, there is just one point separating them
prior to kick-off.

Livorno are quickly becoming this term’s surprise package and are still
undefeated, something that only League leaders Juventus can boast outside of
the Stadio Armando Picchi. The Amaranti have also conceded just one goal in
their first five games, which not even the mighty Juve can claim to have
done. With Coach Roberto Donadoni having a full injury free squad to choose
from, and his side fresh from a 2-0 win over Ascoli, they will be looking to
keep these records intact in Florence.

side taking on the tightest defence, this should be an interesting encounter.
The Florentine outfit will also go into this game with a 100 per cent record
at the Franchi, after impressive wins over Udinese and Sampdoria. Fiorentina
are likely to field a similar side as the one who lost to Inter last week, as
they have no additional injuries on top of Christian Maggio and Guilherme Do
Prado.

Sunday’s match will also see last season’s Capocannoniere Cristiano
Lucarelli take on this year’s leading scorer Luca Toni. The latter has
excelled since his summer move from Palermo and currently tops the charts
with five goals in five games. Lucarelli will be keen to show that he is
still Serie A’s best though by adding to the three goals he has already
scored this season.
