Fiorentina are very much a team on form at the moment after moving up to
second with a 4-2 win over Udinese. Their attacking blend of calcio is also
proving a big hit with the fans, even if there are still question marks over
their defence.

Cesare Prandelli seems to have taken his inspiration from Zdenek Zeman’s
famous ‘you score four we’ll score five’ attitude, but combined it with

of Stefano Fiore, and it is this combination that could prove deadly for
Lecce.

Prandelli is expected to make two changes to the side that beat Udinese. It’
s Valeri Bojinov’s turn to partner Luca Toni so Giampaolo Pazzini will have
to make do with a place on the bench, and Alessandro Gamberini is preferred
to Marco Di Loreto in defence.

For Lecce, the attacking football of Zeman must seem like a distant memory
already, having scored just one goal so far this season. Angelo Gregucci’s
new tactics seem far from pleasing to the fans and he already finds himself
under enormous pressure to turn things around. Even more surprising though is
that he looks set to start with the same team that were brushed aside by
Inter in a humiliating 3-0 defeat.

With Fiorentina on such good form, some Giallorossi fans must already be
expecting a repeat performance. The one ray of light for the Southern outfit
is the return to fitness of last season’s revelation Mirko Vucinic, but he
will need more support than he got in the last match if he is to put Lecce on
the right track.
