Fiorentina have issued a statement to confirm that their player Pablo Daniel
Osvaldo will remain at the club despite attracting the interest of various
clubs. Coach Cesare Prandelli also spoke about the clubs activity in the
transfer market.
The Viola issued an official statement on their website on Friday in order to
confirm that Osvaldo will remain with the club next season.
"We want to continue with him from the growth point of view," it read. "It's
a victory for Corvino as when he arrived no one was happy."
Coach Cesare Prandelli also spoke about the probable arrival target of Juan
Manuel Vargas from Catania.
"Corvino and I have a high opinion of him. When it is official I will give a
complete judgement," he said. "He's the player we wanted and the one we are
trying to bring."
The former Parma coach also hailed new arrival Alberto Gilardino, who has
taken a pay cut to join the Viola.
"The most important aspect is that the player made himself very available,
not just economically. He wants to come to re-live the emotions he felt when
he was a protagonist," said Prandelli.
"He's a warrior, the fans will fall in love with him," he concluded.
