Fiorentina are interested in Tottenham Hotspur winger Aaron Lennon according
to reports in the Italian Press.
Florence-based newspaper La Nazione claim that the 20-year-old is the Viola's
new target, as sporting director Pantaleo Corvino is said to be massive fan
of the England international.
The daily paper also reports that Fiorentina have already made a ￡10m offer
to the Premier League outfit, which was immediately turned down.
Lennon is valued at around ￡18m and Tottenham are unwilling to let him leave
White Hart Lane for anything less.
The Gigliati, however, are not expected to increase their offer, as they are
reportedly chasing Maxi Rodriguez of Atletico Madrid as well, who would be a
cheaper alternative.
Lennon, who was nominated for the Young Player of the Year award in 2006-07
and finished third, signed a new five-year deal with Spurs in January.
He made his England debut in 2006 and made a couple of substitute appearances
for the Three Lions in last summer's World Cup.
