Fiorentina are reported to be in ongoing conversations with Lazio over Valon
Behrami in the hopes of being first in line for his services for next season.
Viola Intensify Behrami Interest
The 22-year-old Swiss star is a subject of interest for a whole host of
European clubs, including as well Bayern Munich, Milan, LIverpool, Tottenham
and Palermo, but it is his Florentian suitors who are showing the most intent.
The Viola are still hoping to take advantage of Lazio's interest in Michele
Pazienza but so far the capital club have turned down the offer of a
player-plus-cash deal.
The fact is that the Biancoceleste are determined to hang on to Behrami, but
would likely not turn down an offer in excess of 10m euro for the Kosovo-born
wide-man, who still officially has three years remaining on his contract with
the Italian capital club.
He had been considered as one of the Roman side's few untouchables as far as
the transfer market is concerned, until he openly criticised President
Claudio Lotito for leaving the stadium well before the whistle during the
Biancoceleste's 5-1 thrashing at the hands of Milan earlier this season.
