Fiorentina are edging closer to the signings of Raffaele Palladino and
Francesco Tavano, according to reports in Italy.
The Viola have been very busy on the transfer market, having already
completed the signings of Milan』s Alberto Gilardino and FK Partizan's Stevan
Jovetic. They are also expected to capture Catania sensation Juan Vargas next
week.
Latest reports in Italy suggest that two more signings could soon be on their
way in the form of Juventus' Raffaele Palladino and Livorno』s Francesco
Tavano.
Palladino is widely viewed as one of Italy』s best young talents, however he
had a frustrating season in Turin where he often either sat on the bench, or
was played in an unfavoured wide midfield position.
In total the 24-year-old made just 14 Serie A starts, and despite some claims
earlier this week that Juve may look to keep him, it is almost certain that
he will be sold. The Gazzetta dello Sport says that Fiorentina have moved
ahead of both Sampdoria and Genoa in the race to sign the player, and could
complete the move in the next few weeks.
According to Tuttosport the Viola are also hoping to purchase Tavano, who
failed to keep Livorno in Serie A, despite scoring 10 goals in 30 games.
Tavano has admitted that he is interested in moving to Tuscany.
"My future depends on Livorno, but obviously I welcome the interest of a
great club like the Viola,」 the forward declared.
Tavano actually grew up in the Fiorentina youth system between 1997 and 1999.
