Fiorentina Coach Cesare Prandelli says he's ready to commit his future to the
club after winning the backing of Diego Della Valle.
The Viola chief stated over the weekend that he wanted Prandelli to spearhead
a new three-year plan to reach the very top of the Italian game.
「We did not talk about it personally, but I'm happy if Della Valle believes
that we can continue our work together,」 he stated. 「I can only confirm
that I would be happy to remain.」
The Viola started the season with a 19-point Calciopoli deduction, now
reduced to 15 on final appeal, which has left the club third from bottom with
just four points.
Prandelli has again reiterated that the primary objective is to avoid
relegation, although the UEFA Cup zone is now just 12 points away.
In the meantime, reports are suggesting that Fiorentina could make a bid to
sign West Ham duo Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano in January.
The Argentine pair have struggled to settle in London after their summer
arrival and the club's new owner Eggert Magnusson may consider sacrificing
the pair to the Tuscan giants.
