Luisao watched by Viola
Fiorentina have admitted that they are pondering a summer move for highly
rated Benfica defender Luisao.
The Brazilian is one of the most respected stoppers in the Portuguese game
and he could be on the verge of a dream move to Italy.
Having already been linked with Milan, Inter and Juventus, it seems that the
Viola are seriously considering a swoop.
「We are looking for a new central defender to strengthen the side,」
revealed Fiorentina sporting director Pantaleo Corvino.
「Luisao is one of the players who we are following with great attention and
his name does appear on our list of potential recruits.」
The Tuscan giants, also linked with Palermo's Andrea Barzagli, are looking
for an Alessandro Gamberini replacement.
The latter will quit the club at the end of the season after contract talks
over a new deal are believed to have collapsed over financial terms.
