A new vicious row between Fiorentina and Juventus is set to explode as the
Bianconeri try to prise Manuel Pasqual away from their rivals.
The two clubs already clashed last summer over the futures of Fabrizio
Miccoli, Giorgio Chiellini and Enzo Maresca – the Turin giants coming out on
top for all three – and the Della Valle brothers could be left empty-handed
once more.
Pasqual has been one of the most impressive players for Fiorentina this
season, but he is only co-owned by the club with Arezzo.
They snapped up 50 per cent of his contract for ?1.7m, but hesitated in
making the move permanent in January.
It’s now reported that Juventus have contacted Arezzo to buy out the
remaining half of the left-back, which would set up another bidding war to
decide his future at the end of this season.
If two clubs cannot reach an agreement after negotiations, they go into a
blind auction where both sides put a figure into a sealed envelope and the
highest bid wins.
Newspapers note that a signed piece of paper gives the Viola an option to
sign the player from Arezzo for another ?1.7m, but it has emerged that deal
has no legal standing for the FIGC.
His price-tag has certainly rocketed since he made his mark in Serie A, as in
22 appearances this season he has put in 91 crosses, made three assists and
aimed 19 shots on goal.
The wide man will turn 24 years of age in March and has been tipped for an
Italy call-up by Azzurri boss Marcello Lippi.

在本季補強時不少人都是共有或租借的,
優點是錢不用花很多,
可是缺點就是留不住好球員,
現在FIO就面臨這個問題XD,
希望今年夏天別再搞這套......
