Pagliuca to replace Frey?

After links with Francesco Toldo, it's reported that Fiorentina are
looking to veteran Gianluca Pagliuca to solve their goalkeeping crisis.
The team is without a star shot-stopper following the knee ligament
injury that will keep Sebastien Frey sidelined for the next three months.
There have been reports of an exchange of loans with Inter,
sending Valeri Bojinov to the San Siro for the return of former
Viola hero Toldo, and a bid for Lazio's Matteo Sereni, but today
another theory has emerged.
Pagliuca was one of Serie A's most consistent goalkeepers last season,
even if he couldn't prevent Bologna's relegation.
The 39-year-old would appreciate the opportunity to have one more shot
at the top flight, especially as only one game would allow him to match
Dino Zoff's tally of 570 Serie A appearances.
Pagliuca is also only 10 caps away from Paolo Maldini's all-time record,
which hasn't moved of late due to his recurring knee problems.
“Although we have not yet received any offer from Fiorentina,
we would be willing to discuss any incoming proposal,”
explained Bologna director general Renato Zaccarelli.
Pagliuca made his Serie A debut in May 1988 and has worn the jerseys
of hometown club Bologna, Sampdoria and Inter.

雖然我不知道半年過去了，Pagliuca狀況保持的如何，
不過去季的他堪稱完美，義甲出場數因為 Bologna降級無法再上升也很可惜，
只是短期替代 Frey的話，Pagliuca應該是很不錯的選擇。
