Fiorentina are lining up a bid for Arsenal’s Robert Pires, according to
reports in Italy on Tuesday.

Viola President Andrea Della Valle has promised Coach Cesare Prandelli
renewed transfer funds in January and is a huge admirer of the French
midfielder.

Although Pires, whose Arsenal contract runs out at the end of the season, is
keen to stay in London, the winger has turned down a one-year contract
extension as he wants the security of a two-year deal.
