Italian quarter final hero Luca Toni has hit out at recent reports linking
him with a move from Fiorentina, stating he wants to stay in Florence next
season.

The Viola star ended a mini goal drought by netting a brace in the 3-0 win
over Ukraine on Friday, adding to the 31 goals he struck in Serie A last
season.

Toni's incredible domestic form saw him linked with European giants such as
Internazionale and Barcelona, but the tall striker has given Fiorentina a
huge boost by declaring that he has no intention of leaving Stadio Artemio
Franchi.

Toni also hit out at his detractors in the Italian media who attacked him as
he failed to score in the first four games of the Azzurri's World Cup
campaign.

"I was coming from a fantastic season, I scored 31 goals and you criticised
me," Toni added.
