  MILAN - The heart of Milan continues to beat strong. An important impulse, it
beats with regularity. Forty years after the first triumph of an Italian squad
in the Champion's Cup, Milan are once again in a final. A final that is once
again in England, the land of founder Herbert Kilpin, and once again with a
Maldini as captain. Against Eusebio, there was Cesarone. Against Del Piero the-
re will be Paolo. Not Paolino. In 1985 he was young, at the start of his career
, in his first steps towards Italian, European and world competition. Now he is
super Paolo, a father of two children and a man full of football memories.Paolo
after Cesare, Old Trafford after Wembley: a historical adventure for the Rosso-
nero colors. According to Maldini, today,on the 40th anniversary of the victory
at Wembley over Benfica, Cesarone offers his impressions: 'We were the first.
Still today I have a great memory of that final. But the best thing is that 40
years later there is still a Maldini as captain. This, other than the passion,
is an enormous bond that is felt and lives with Milan. I really hope for our
side in the final at Manchester.'

四十年前，米蘭為義大利隊伍奪得了第一個歐洲冠軍盃冠軍
四十年後，再一次，米蘭來到了決賽點
同樣地，還是在英格蘭，Herbert Kilpin的土地上
同樣地，還是馬爾蒂尼戴上隊長繡章
對抗 Eusebio，我們有Cesare
對抗Del Piero，我們將有Paolo

1985年，他還是個年輕小伙子
站在他職業生涯的起點，
跨出了邁向義大利、歐洲、全世界頂級競賽的第一步
現在他已經是一個Super Paolo、
兩個孩子的父親、一個全然足球回憶的男人

一段四十年紅色與黑色的歷史探程

今天，5月22日，
是米蘭v.s 本菲卡，我們在Wembley勝利奪冠的四十週年紀念
Casare向他的兒子Paolo說著：

'我們是第一個在歐洲冠軍盃奪冠的意大利隊伍
到了今天，我仍對當年的決賽擁有美好回憶。
但最棒的是，四十年後還是由馬爾蒂尼擔任隊長
這是，除了激情之外，
一個感受與米蘭羈絆存在的偉大結合；
在慢徹斯特的決賽點，
我會為我們的隊伍祈禱。'

  The former Rossonero captain, who lead the team to a brilliant Campionato
title as coach in 2001, continues to speak about the magic of Wembley. An afte-
rnoon charged with glory: 'We were not favorites, but in all the elimination
matches, we played well. We were a technical squad. A real team. We played hard
against a Benfica side that was coming off wins against Barcelona and Real Mad-
rid. A team that at that time was full of true football talent.'

  In the end, Milan were the victors and captain Maldini and the rest of the
team were rewarded: '14 million a head? No 14 million in total. I don't want to
make an error, but I remember a reward of 700-800,000 lire. You were able to
buy a Fiat thanks to the final win.'The coach of the first European winning Mi-
lan was Paron Rocco, for whom Cesare Maldini still has fond memories of: 'I
always remember him. Every time someone talks about football in that era or ma-
kes an anecdote of the past, his name is always mentioned in the conversation.
 In any moment. He is always present. Not only at Milan, but also with Trieste.
Every year there are ceremonies to honor him. When he was our coach,no one ever
spoke badly about him, neither in the locker room nor in the club. This man kn-
ew how to live with us as and also with the presidents, from Rizzoli to Carraro
.'

前紅黑軍團的隊長，談論著關於Wembley的魔幻、那個充滿榮耀的午後

'我們並不是表現最棒的，
但在所有的淘汰賽，我們踢得很好
我們是技術性的團隊、一支真正的隊伍
而我們努力對抗的是本菲卡，
曾在預賽與複賽淘汰巴塞隆納和皇家馬德里
一支 充滿著當時代巨星的球隊'

但到了最後，米蘭是勝利者
而隊長與其他球員均獲得了獎勵：

'超過了一千四百萬的獎賞？ 總體並沒有到一千四百萬
我應該沒有記錯，大概約七十--八十萬里拉
你大概可以因一場決賽的勝利而能買一輛Fiat。'

帶領米蘭獲得米蘭第一個歐洲冠軍頭銜的教練是Paron Rocco
對於他，老馬爾蒂尼仍有很多美好的回憶：

'我會永遠記得他的
每一次當有人討論一個時代的足球或是做過去的趣聞整理
他的名字總是第一個被提出來討論的
無論在任何時代，他一直存在
不僅僅在米蘭，也在Trieste（Rocco出生地）
每一年都會有為了感謝與尊敬他而舉辦的追悼會
當他是我們教練的時候，
不論在更衣室裡還是在俱樂部本身管理層，沒人敢說他的壞話
他不僅僅知道如何與我們相處，
也知道怎麼跟主席們相處，從Rizzoli到Carraro都是如魚得水。'

1963年 5月22日，歐洲冠軍聯賽的決賽點在英格蘭Wembly
米蘭迎戰本菲卡，當時候的隊長是老馬爾蒂尼
Nickname為黑豹的Eusebio在19分鐘時為本菲卡先進一球
而米蘭的傳奇巴西中鋒Altafini才是本場比賽的最佳球員
在58分鐘時的進球先踢平，69分鐘的進球使得米蘭以2－1反超對手，

米蘭在當年歐洲冠軍聯賽的九場比賽中進33球僅失6球。
Altafini以9場比賽攻入14個進球的成績位列射手榜第一，
這個進球記錄一直保持到今日仍未破

四十年後，
依舊是馬爾蒂尼帶著隊長繡章
依舊是在英格蘭的土地上
我們，期許著保羅馬爾蒂尼能再一次舉起冠軍盃...
