AMBRO READY TO ANSWER CALL

As Massimo Ambrosini celebrates his 29th birthday today, the
midfielder will be looking ahead to a summer full of training
as he looks to recover from another injury setback.


Ambro started last season in great form, scoring a goal against
Siena but then was injured against Treviso.


He said: 'I have time to recover patiently. My summer will be
spent evaluating the progress of the injury on a daily basis.
I am confident and the fact that I started well last year gives
me confidence for next season.'


Carlo  Ancelotti will be looking to the Pesaro-born player
to fill the defensive midfield role behind Andrea Pirlo in the
coach's new system.


Ancelotti said recently: 'Ambro is one of those players we are
fortunate to have. In some games next season I could use him
in a more defensive role to give Pirlo freedom.' Massimo will
no doubt be ready to answer the call as he has done throughout
his career as a Rossoneri.
