PIRLO EYES THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL
MILANELLO - Andrea Pirlo is back available for Milan in the last part of the
season which sees the Rossoneri still running in the Champions League, the
Coppa Italia and the Serie A. The midfielder is ready to return to the first
team and make his contribution: 'I feel better now. I have no more pains on my
knee, fortunately I didn't need to undergo surgery. Yesterday I practiced for
a while with my team-mates, this afternoon I will undergo some tests and from
tomorrow onwards I'll be finally back to the group. I think I'll be available
for the Saturday's game, then the coach will decide whether he needs my
support.'
Pirlo is looking forward to the Champions League semi-final first leg against
Inter: 'It is a crucial match, we want to prepare for it in the best way.
Milan aim at this trophy, the final is close, we can't fail.' Inter are not to
be underrated, though: 'They are a very good team, cynic and effective. We
don't have to think that we are favourite because we defeated them twice. On
Wednesday it will be different, we must beware of their counterattacks and try
to score from our chances. The absence of Vieri is an advantage for us, but we
must dominate and show our character if we want to go through.'
As an ex Nerazzurro Andrea doesn't look for revenge: 'Past is past, I don't
have a special motivation for this game as I played at Inter. Now I am a Milan
player and I feel part of this club. I have the same incentives of my
team-mates, those the Champions League semi-finals give you.'
A comment also on the Milan domestic campaign, although the second place is a
bit farther: 'We must try to reach the second spot. We must try to win all
the games left and hope in some mistakes from Inter. This season we have lost
many points to the small sides. We have just won when we have shown a good
play, while Juventus and Inter have been able to make points, also when they
didn't deserve them. I congratulate the Bianconeri, they have proved to be
the most continuous and cynic team.'
Pirlo dreams of a Champions League final: '... hopefully against Real Madrid,
it would be really fascinating. in the meanwhile let's enjoy our semi-finals.
After years of hardship, Italian football is riding high again. We have
travelled throughout Europe and played an excellent football which paid
dividends at the end.'

皮爾洛著眼冠軍盃決賽
安德列皮爾洛在賽季的最後回到米蘭，米蘭仍在冠軍盃、義大利盃、義甲三線
奮戰。這個中場已經準備好回到先發隊伍作出他的貢獻。「我覺得好多了，膝
蓋也不痛了，很幸運不需要接受手術。昨天我和隊友練習了一會兒，今天下午
我必須接受一些測試，明天開始就可以回到隊上。我想我禮拜六可以上場，要
看教練需不需要我。」
皮爾洛期待歐冠半決賽中與國米的比賽。「這是一場關鍵的比賽，我們會以最好
方式準備。米蘭的目標是戰勝，我們很接近決賽，不能輸。」不能低估國米，「
他們是一支非常棒的隊伍，犀利且有效率。不能因為我們曾打敗他們兩次就認定
我們會勝出。下禮拜三會不太一樣，我們必須當心他們的反擊，且抓住機會得分
。維耶里的缺席是我們的優勢，如果我們要贏，必須凌駕他們且展現我們的特色
。」
曾為國米一員的安德列並不想復仇，「過去就過去了，對國米的比賽並不會帶給
我特別的刺激。現在我是米蘭的球員，而且我覺得自己是這個團隊的一部份。我
受到和隊友一樣的鼓舞，這些鼓舞都是來自冠軍盃半決賽。」
米蘭第二位的成績又遠了些，對此他也發表些看法。「我們必須達到第二位。我
們必須試圖贏得之後所有的比賽，且希望國米會犯些錯誤。這個賽季我們對小球
隊時失了許多分，我們只有在表現好時才得分。但尤文和國米不是，他們有時並
不值得獲勝。我恭喜由文，他們證明自己是最具持續性且犀利的隊伍。」
皮爾洛夢想進入冠軍盃決賽︰「很希望能跟皇家馬德里對上，那真是相當美好的
一件事。現在讓我們好好踢場半決賽吧。經過一年的辛苦，義大利足球再次爬上
頂峰。我們打遍歐洲而且表現出色，最後的成績就是我們的獎賞。」
