GATTUSO: 'Pirlo is very important'

 MILANO -

Rino Gattuso was interviewd on the Milan Channel’s Studio Milan where he 
talked about his reaction after scoring at Perugia. He said: ‘It was a 
spontaneous action to run to the Milan fans because it’s been three years
since they’ve been waiting for a goal from me. During the week and when I
come on to the pitch I can see they get behind me and I wanted to thank them.' 
Gattuso also spoke about fellow midfielder Andrea Pirlo who substituted him on
Sunday. He said: ‘He’s a very important player for us and he offers us
further attacking options. Myself and [Massimo] Ambrosini don’t have Pirlo’
s skill, but with four in midfield we have a good platform. He went on: 
‘We’ve got a great team and we work hard and we can expect to play a lot of   
important games.’
