MILANELLO -
At Thursday's press conference Rino Gattuso spoke about his chances of becoming
a future Milan captain. He said: 'I know that Maldini will have to step down
first ... to take the captain's armband gives me goose bumps considering the
names that have worn it before. It's best not to think about this and maybe the
responsibilty is too great for me. To be captain at this club you have to have
always played at the highest level. At present I am just trying to reach that,
it's a bit too early to talk about it, let's see hopefully in five or six years
when Maldini retires.' Disccusion then turned to Saturday's big clash with
Juventus and the midfielder said: 'If you put our technique to their steely
power then you would have the best team in the world. They are tough, difficult
to beat and full of top players.'
