Rino Gattuso is a fierce but not venomous 'Milanista'. Pugnacious and
determined but not bad or rancorous. And neither rethorical. When he does not
like a substitution, he tells it without making polemics on the pitch; when he
has to spur the team up, he does it honestly and without looking for an alibi.
His birthday couldn't pass unnoticed. And it actually does not. Waiting to
celebrate him on Sunday at the San Siro, on January 9, all the Rossonero people
have stood up ideally at their's to applaude him. Having improved on the
technical side of the game to be included in the first-class players at Milan,
this tireless ball-winner has definitely won over the fans. He is loved and
appreciated for his quality as well. Beyond the goal against Perugia and the
cross to set up Kaka in the San Siro derby, Gattuso's feet are not a joke. And
he is also used to play with great intensity. His grit and runs in the midfield
are essential to add fuel to the Milan play, to block the opponents and keep
the tension of the game high.
Well, Rino is not a superman or the symbol of perfection though. It may happen
he failes a pass when he is not at his best or due to niggling injuries. And
when it happens, as with the other important players, it does not pass
unnoticed.'This and much more for Milan's sake', Gattuso said in July, as he
extended his contract with the club, putting his signature on a blank sheet.
All the Milan fans also agree, saying about Rino: 'This and much more for him.
