Italy midfield player Massimo Ambrosini has become the latest
AC Milan player to renew his contract at the San Siro.
Staying put
The 26-year-old Ambrosini has followed in the footsteps of
team-mates Alessandro Costacurta, Fernando Redondo and
Paolo Maldini, along with coach Carlo Ancelotti, in
committing his future to the club. Ambrosini, who has
been capped 15 times by his country, will stay until 2005.
Fully fit
Ambrosini is in his seventh season with Milan since making
his debut for the Rossoneri in 1995. After missing almost
all the last Serie A campaign with a serious knee injury,
Ambrosini has returned to full fitness this year and has
played 15 matches in the domestic league and seven in the
UEFA Champions League. Before joining Milan, he played for
Cesena Calcio and Vicenza Calcio.
