AMBRO, NOT ONLY A GOAL
He has been playing like this since November 26: robbing balls, keeping poss-
ession and making fine passes. And then he has shown grit, team spirit and ins-
pired his mates confidence. Massimo Ambrosini confirmed that the 2000 excellent
player, the decisive man in the closing stage of the last season for the Cham-
pions League is still there. After denying all speculations involving the midf-
ielder, the club have never given up to believe in him. The same has done the
coach, the team-mates, Milanello staff and the whole Rossonero family.
It took him a few weeks to accept rotation, but then Ambro has proved to be
the player we knew. He has been playing like this since the European derby with
Real Madrid. Do you remember? He was used in front of the defence as a central
midfielder and was praised also by Zidane. Then he continued with convincing
performances until Dortmund, where he was the best according to Gazzetta dello
Sport, and Como, where he was voted as Telepiu man of the match. He just lacked
the goal. He scored it. He had already netted with his foot, both in the year
of the Scudetto against Sampdoria and in the year of the third spot at Torino.
They were powerful shots. At Como, instead, he was very accurate.
