MILANELLO - Massimo Ambrosini looks back to the Milan 2-1 victory
Juventus, when he meets the journalists at the usual afternoon
press conference: 'We showed our potential against Juventus. We
did well and especially showed the right attitude. We were also
well-placed on the pitch, although we didn't win because we played
the 4-4-2: the key was that we all sacrificed ourselves with grit
and character. At the end of the game I was happy but also a bit
angry: we have lost too many important points at home against Lazio,
Chievo, Atalanta.' Ambrosini believes that Milan can come back to
the Scudetto race: 'The team is more confident in its capabilities,
we can still come back. But we must also hope that our competitors
will lose ground, as we are behind.'

MILANELLO - Massimo Ambrosini focuses also on the next games Milan a
re to face: 'We have two weeks to recover our strenghts and practice
with no hurry. Then we expect a crucial period: we must start well,
defeating Parma. I'm not worried about the big amount of fixtures
we are to face: we have already showed that we have no problems to
play on different fronts (Champions League, Coppa Italia and Serie A).
Milan have a wide team which can rotate and always count on high-rate
players. The fact that we have never failed a vital match this season
gives us hope.'

MILANELLO - According to Massimo Ambrosini, Milan are lacking goals
from the midfielders: 'The team must learn to try its luck with
long-range shots. The goals scored by the midfielders are very
important and we have missed them. Last year I found the net more
often. Against Juventus I had a good chance but unfortunately I was
not able to take it.'
Last but not least, the Rossonero ball-winner has his say about the
recent polemics involving the National team: 'I don't believe we are
not fond of the Azzurro. All players dream of wearing the Italy shirt.
Should Trapattoni recall me, I would be very happy.'
