MILAN - Here is the latest injury situation from the medical staff
regarding the Milan players:
Jon Dahl Tomasson: has clearly improved his fitness following the
intercostal muscle strain. Trained with the rest of the squad today.
Sandro Nesta: down day for the defender. Looks certain to play in the
Italian Cup against Roma in four times.. After his meniscus operation
to his left knee, he is almost fully match fit.
Pippo Inzaghi: the attacker continues his recovery after his recent
calf injury to his left leg. Trained on his fitness in the gym today.
Kaladze: has clearly improved after the lateral ligament strain to
his left knee suffered in training. The defender has been running for
the past few days and continues to work on his fitness with athletic
work in the gym.
Christian Abbiati: remarkable progress and his speed of recovery is
similar to that of the Goergian. The recovery programme is
progressing and is based around athletic fitness. The goalkeeper
needs to build up the srength in the lateral collateral ligament of
his left knee which he suffered in the Italian Cup game against
Sampdoria.
