REGGIO CALABRIA - Sandro Nesta spoke to the Milan Channel after the defeat at Re
ggina and the defender said: 'They probably were up for this game, we played our
honest game, we didn't play well in the first half but things went better in the
second period. Next Sunday? We'll look for a wonderful victory, to get the resul
t for a real party, we are ready to celebrate with our fans.'
When [Paolo] Maldini was replaced by Billy Costacurta the captain received a lon
g applause from the crowd and Nesta commented on this and said: 'Maldini is not
only well thought of at Milan, he is a champion loved throughout Italy for every
thing he has done for the national side and football. He deserves all the affect
ion he is shown.'
