The operation on the meniscus of the left knee undergone this morning
in Rome by Alessandro Nesta was completely successful. The Milan
defender will remain in the capital another two days under
observation by Dr. Campi, the doctor who operated on him and treated
him at Lazio. Nesta will be away from the pitch for at least twenty
days; it will be difficult for him to recover for the big match of
January 6 against Roma.
