Kaladze pens Milan extension Thursday 30 June, 2005

Kakhaber Kaladze’s proposed move to Chelsea is definitely off
after he signed a new deal with Milan on Thursday.(!!)
The Georgian international had less than a year left on his previous
deal but is now tied to the Rossoneri until 2010.
Kaladze was confident of completing a move to Stamford Bridge
this month but his transfer collapsed.
He had agreed terms with the London club but Milan’s ￡8m asking
price was deemed as too steep for the left-back.
Kaladze opened the door to a San Siro stay this morning, during
an interview with the Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper.
"I’m happy in Milan but my problem is only a technical one–the
fact that I haven’t played too much," he said.
"My contract expires in 2006 but I hope to find an agreement with
Milan, possibly even for a renewal."
Kaladze has struggled for a first team place with stiff competition
coming from Paolo Maldini and Giuseppe Pancaro.
