Milan have made Bayern Munich a €35 million offer plus the permanent
transfer of Massimo Oddo for French winger Frank Ribery.
The 25-year-old has been outstanding for the German champions this season,
leading to raised eyebrows around Europe. French newspaper Le Parisien claims
Milan have already made an offer to the Bavarian club for the influential
midfielder.
Reports suggest the Rossoneri are keen on landing him as a replacement for
Kaka, should he complete his expected transfer to English club Manchester
City this week. Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti has been an admirer of the
Frenchman for some time and reports suggest that the Diavoli came close to
landing him in the summer.
In addition the Paris-based publication claims that the Rossoneri's directors
have already met with Ribery. It is reported that they have offered him a €
6.5m deal per season over four years. This would make him the highest paid
player at the club if Kaka leaves. Ronaldinho is on €4m per season according
to press speculation.
Ribery would be the ideal replacement for Kaka as both players are of a
similar style. The Frenchman can take people on and his shooting is deadly.
However, Bayern have always stated that their player is not for sale.
Nevertheless, Milan will try and tempt the German club. Both teams enjoy a
good relationship and Oddo could be a key pawn in the deal as Milan are also
offering him on a permanent basis.

Milan are lining up Bayern Munich fantasista Franck Ribery as a replacement
for Kaka should the Brazilian join Manchester City, according to 'Le Parisien'.
The French daily reports that Milan will pay ￡35m for the 25-year-old and
increase his wages to a staggering ￡6.5m a year.
Milan defender Massimo Oddo, who is currently on loan at the German champions,
will also form part of the deal, making his transfer permanent.
Ribery is said to be keen on moving to the Rossoneri. His teammate, Luca Toni,
has apparently been teaching him Italian.
Kaka is expected to announce his decision today as to whether he will leave
Milan in a world record-breaking ￡107m transfer.
Milan are also believed to be targeting Emmanuel Adebayor, Michael Essien and
Gael Clichy in the January transfer window.
