Milan took the right choice: we are experienced now, we want to go on with an
innovative football, an attack-minded football, and to be used to the tactics
will help us. Moreover, ancelotti's task was difficult. If more stars had been
added to a group who already has many of them, it would have been dangerous
for the balance of the whole team. Well, if Stam joined us, we would be happy,

MILAN - Rino Gattuso told 'Gazzetta': 'It is not a set phrase, it is really
wonderful to restart in this way, as champions. If we are worried not to

MILAN - 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' reports an interview with Rino Gattuso:
'I have always said that if Milan agreed, I would stay with them all my life.
In the meanwhile I have signed a contract which expires in 2008, which means
that I will wear a Rossonero shirt until I am thirty.'

MILAN - In a post-lunch interview with Milan Channel Rino Gattuso doesn't hide
his usual grit: 'We must start with the right attitude, first of all for the
wonderful supporters who also today have come here in a number. They have
always been close to us, even when things did not go on well in the past.'
About his newly-renewed contract the Rossonero midfielder adds: 'It took me
just ten minutes, I have never had any problem with Milan, when they promise
something they always keep their word. I want to stress it once again: my aim
is to stay in the heights until 2008 but also for a longer time, I will quit
the club only when they throw me out.
Rino is a veteran and he knows what means to be a Rossonero: 'Once Galliani
took me aside and told me that Milan have had only four captains in their
history. Milan know what standard-bearers mean.
'A final comment upon the second half of Milan's Serie A campaign last season
: 'Since I have been at the club - four years - Milan have always suffered
gainst the small sides: we must be more aggressive and concentrated in the
Serie A, we must learn from Juventus. This season we have six objectives and
we want to honour them all: we are Milan and we must fight on all fronts.'

Rino Gattuso has shown the in-born grit and determination he is used to on the
pitch even as he extended his contract with Milan until June 30 2008. He would
have been linked to the Rossoneri until June 30 2005, if he hadn't agreed
with chief executive Adriano Galliani a renewal on Friday in via Turati. The
Rossonero midfielder put his signature to a blank contract, to confirm his
attachment to the colours of the club. 'This and much more for Milan's sake,'
Rino said. The chief excutive expressed his satisfaction: 'The pride of
belonging to our club made the difference for him'.
