Kaka blasts Milan medics Tuesday 31 March, 2009


  Kaka may return from injury in Brazil's World Cup 2010 qualifier against
Peru and claims the Seleção's doctors are much better than Milan's.

  The former  FIFA  World  Player  of the  Year  has  become  increasingly
frustrated at missing a significant part of the season with a niggling foot
injury.

  But it seems that Kaka's spell on the sidelines could be over as he has
set his sights on facing Peru on Wednesday evening.

  “I am optimistic,” the Milan ace said. “I have received encouraging
news from the medical team and I could feature, even if I don't know for
how long.

  “After the latest training session I felt sure that I would be fit to
play, although maybe not for a full 90 minutes.”

  Kaka then took aim at Milan's medical team, who seemed to do little to
help the playmaker's condition.

  “ My condition improved much more in a week in Brazil than it did in
five at Milan,” Kaka said simply.

  “ I feel  better  and  I'm  not in pain . In the future I will address
injuries in a different way.

  “Football has changed a lot over the last few years. It has become much
more physical and I need to protect my body.

  “It's hard to say whether Milan's doctors made mistakes, but I just
know that I will handle it differently if I get injured in future.”

Galliani refutes Kaka comments Tuesday 31 March, 2009


  Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani insists that Kaka hasn't criticised
the Rossoneri's medical staff.

  Kaka is close to returning for a lingering foot injury that has frustrated
him over the last few weeks.

  The Brazilian ace said that his recovery in Brazil with the national side
had been “five times faster” than it was in Milan.

  “ I don't care if he said that because that isn't what he told me , ”
Galliani said to journalists.

  “ It's just not true. This week is the sixth of the injury and it's just
logical that it has taken that long to heal.

  “ In any case, Kaka's comments certainly weren't an indictment of our
medical team.

  “ It's clear that everyone must manage their health as they see fit but
they must also obey our internal regulations. Kaka understands that and the
relationship with him is excellent.”

MILAN - Following the latest declarations from Brazil by Ricardo Kaka
("It did me a lot of good the last week in Brazil when compared to the
previous ones in Italy") and Adriano Galliani's clarification in Lega
Calcio ("I speak regularly to Kaka, the rapport with him is very good"),
Leonardo analyzed the situation: "Ricardo felt a lot of pressure about
returning to play with the national team and the last days have been
particular for him. The rapport with him is very clear, his needs and
the ones of the club are always the same. There is no problem, if he
recovers and plays, we are very happy for him and for ourselves."
