Kaka's spokesman has confirmed that "Ricardo is a Milan player" and has not
been in negotiations with Manchester City.
There were reports from Arabian news channels that contracts had been signed
for a ￡107m transfer, but Diogo Kotscho has a different story.
"There is no news," he told calciomercato.it. "The offer is on the table and
today Kaka'has only spoken on the phone with his family. I spoke to him too
and I can guarantee he is relaxed."
"It is not true that he has already signed. Ricardo is a Milan player and
thinks only about stepping on to the field tomorrow against Fiorentina."
"City are talking to the Rossoneri, but I certainly cannot confirm what was
written in the Arabic newspapers."
Kaka'is in the squad for Saturday night's match and fans have staged a protest
outside the club headquarters.
"He has not yet decided what to do. He is focusing on Milan," continued
Kotscho from Brazil. When asked if Kaka's father (and agent) Bosco Leite
would be in Milan on Monday for talks, there was a similarly dismissive tone.
"As things stand, I doubt it. Bosco is on holiday in San Paolo and I think
that unless there are some massive surprises he will stay there until the end
of the week. If he does arrive in Italy, it will be because something has
changed."
However, the spokesman did confirm that the matter is still evolving after
Milan hinted they would allow Kaka'to talk to City.
"It's probable there will be a meeting, but Bosco will only move if there
is a development. He has to talk to Milan first. Ricardo does not know if he
will be at Milan for life."
