Milan suffered a blow earlier today after it emerged that Marco Borriello
might miss this weekend's clash with Napoli.
The 27-year-old striker, who has scored nine goals in Serie A this season,
was sent home from training this morning with a fever.
His condition will be evaluated again tomorrow, but Leonardo already has
enough to worry about with injuries decimating his team.
Alexandre Pato might make his return against Napoli, but there are
reservations about whether he should be rushed back from a thigh problem.
Things are beginning to look desperate at Milanello as Thiago Silva is the
only recognised centre-back available and will most probably be partnered
with Giuseppe Favalli on Sunday.
Leonardo's two first choice full-backs, Ignazio Abate and Luca Antonini are
also involved in a race to be fit in time for what could be a decisive match
in the title race.
Milan are now just one point behind League leaders Inter and need to keep the
pressure on if they are to have any chance of winning the Scudetto this
season.
