Wednesday night’s victory over Ascoli marked Pippo’s hundredth
Serie A game with Milan.
對阿斯科利的比賽，同時也是Pippo代表米蘭的第一百場義甲比賽
The adventure continues for Pippo and Milan. Inzaghi has racked up
an enviable 100 goals in official games, 75 of which were in Serie A
and 4 of those 100 scored this season (one goal in each game against
Red Star Belgrade, one league goal against Lazio and a one Champions
League net against AEK).

Yesterday Inzaghi didn’t seal a net but he was busy enough
constructing and delivering opportunities left and right, unfortunately
luck just wasn’t on his said. Nevertheless, it was his hundredth game
with Milan in Serie A and when you add in the striker’s appearances in
the Italian Cup and international competitions his total climbs another
53.

The emotional tie between Super Pippo and the Rossoneri fans has grown
closer and closer with time. Even yesterday, during the warm-ups, the
Curva Sud gave him a pre-game salute. Inzaghi’s adventure with Milan
started in August of 2001, on a Sunny afternoon in Brescia. Since then
he has done a lot, not only in reference to his stats but also for the
affection of the Rossoneri fans, which continues to grow. After Milan-AEK
he climbed once again up the European goalscoring charts, but Pippo isn’t
satisfied with anything but the best and he said with his eye on the prize
: ‘I am sorry that I didn’t reach first.’ Nothing less than perfection
for Pippo Inzaghi and surely great things happen with an attitude like that
when it is accompanied by natural talent and hard work. No complaints here
, only a big thanks to Pippo for all he has done.
