Spanish newspaper Marca reports Milan were considering replacing Leonardo
with Luis Aragones when things weren't going so well for the Rossoneri in
October.
The Rossoneri currently lie second in Serie A, four points adrift of Inter,
and last night qualified for the second round of the Champions League.
However, they started the season poorly and many felt Leonardo would not get
to eat the panettone at Christmas.
Marca understands Milan were prepared to sack Leonardo if his side failed to
beat Atalanta on October 4. The Rossoneri drew that game and then beat Real
Madrid at the Bernabeu.
They haven't suffered defeat since.
Aragones is currently unemployed after parting ways with Turkish club
Fenerbahce at the end of last season.
The summer before that he famously won the European Championship with Spain.
