MILAN - Corriere dello Sport reports on the news of the acknowledgment
paid to Milan trainer Carlo Ancelotti with the award of 'lo Sport Civilta'
presented at the Regio Theatre in Parma. It was the 27th edition of the
prize awarded by the National Union of Veterans of Sport. Paolo Maldini
was awarded 'Athlete of the Year' which Villiam Vecchi received on the
captain's behalf.

PARIS - Ronaldo would give the Golden Ball to Milan captain Paolo Maldini.
The Real Madrid star, who holds the title, confessed it to 'France Football',
the magazine presenting the award. The Brazilian said: 'Talking about the
Italians, there is a player who stands above all the rest, Paolo Maldini'.
And he added: 'Maldini is a great player and a unique leader'. Ronaldo also
confirmed that he likes very much staying in Spain and that he does not
intend to come back to Inter.

MILAN - Speaking to 'La Gazzetta dello Sport', Paolo Maldini talked
about next month's Intercontinental Cup and said: 'My sporting life
has given me everything, but I still like to work hard in training
and win things. Therefore I really want to lift the Intercontinental
Cup because I know that at the end of my career I will miss such
feelings like these.'

Boca Juniors' young striker Carlos Tevez is set to miss the Inter-
continental Cup final against Milan on December 14. Argentinian club's
president Mauricio Macri revealed it in an interview with Buonos Aires
radio 'La Red'. He said: 'Tevez picked up an injury on his left knee
during the match against Newell's Old Boys two weeks ago and his condition
has not improved yet. The player will be hardly available I for the final
on December 14.'
