MILAN - The day after the heavy defeat to Deportivo which eliminated the Rosso
neri from the Champions League, captain Paolo Maldini answered questions from j
ournalists who wanted to know if there was now a turning point in the season. T
he defender answered: 'We don't need to see this as a turning point as we have
a big advantage in the league. Unfortunately, it was a turning point in the Cha
mpions League: we dominated the first leg but unfortunately, we didn't manage t
o eliminate them in the return. But I am absolutely not worried about the leagu
e or for our fitness. The fact that the side is less brilliant at the moment is
normal but I believe this is understood at this stage of the season; let's hop
e we can get wins when we create less chances than we did at Modena. The worth
of this team and that of the defence remains very high.'

MALDINI: 'A lot of bitterness, it's our Cup'

 Regarding Wednesday's game, Maldini commented: 'There isn't just one motive to
 explain the defeat. There are multiple aspects: mental, technical mistakes. Fr
om a psychological level it is difficult to bounce back in these games. Even at
  confident and us less so; the psychological aspect is unforeseeable. I never t
hought Deportivo would be like this: they certainly showed they could rise to t
he occasion. But those who know about the game understand it can change in a mo
ment. We are very disappointed because we threw away a great occasion: after do
minating at the San Siro we managed to throw it all away, thanks in part to Dep
ortivo's display and us not being at the highest level. There is plenty of bitt
erness because we believe we merited a place in the last four, and we showed in
the first leg that we were much stronger than Depor. We are holders, it's our
Cup and we wanted to hold on to it.'

MALDINI: 'We have to turn the page and think only of Empoli'

MILAN – In the captain's opinion despite the heavy defeat and the two draws i
n the league no conclusions can be drawn and he said: 'Even if Milan have been
less than brilliant nothing can justify a defeat like that. We had a great adva
ntage and without being brilliant we should have managed it. The game started b
adly and finished worse, now it's time to turn the page. We have to go forward
and win this league where we have been protagonists. Now, we just have to think
only of Empoli. We have to be a bit more balanced then we can be judged: we kn
ew well we weren't invincible and we know that we are the team to beat in the l
eague.'

看到我自己的簽名檔有感
這個簽名檔是我在官網某篇訪問中看到的

昨天我做了一個惡夢
夢到隊長不續約了
BILLY也不續約

夢醒了....
我趕緊連上網

老隊長是在對尤文大敗後兩天宣布要退役
我顫抖的...去想

不會的，不會的

剛剛上官網看到隊長的訪問
我害怕從他的話裡找出一絲蛛絲馬跡

而他也只是平靜的告訴大家
米蘭很好
我們仍必須繼續走下去


我曾經某加發過誓
MALDINI退役那場比賽無論如何也要去
他不想在留有老隊長退役的遺憾

但是，我們也都期盼，這一天永遠不會來

我想過，這兩年也許隊長會漸漸的從主力上退下來
他要做的，是去成為一個教導年輕米蘭的領導者

就像他說的
隊長的重要性也許就在於教導一些年輕球員許多球場經驗
不只是場下的，更重要的是關於人生的種種

現在的米蘭球員，也許就是在學習這一課

我知道我們會繼續堅強的走下去

在怎樣的失敗也無損於MALDINI在我眼中的定位
他是米蘭驕傲的象徵
