Real Madrid go for Kaka Wednesday 30 May, 2007 http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/may30g.html -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Reports in Spain claim that Real Madrid are ready to resume their campaign to sign Milan star Kaka. The Brazilian has been a primary transfer objective for the Spaniards since last summer when the Rossoneri reported Real to FIFA over their public courtship of the starlet. However, we could be in for another summer of tension as the Spanish newspaper AS claims that Real chief Ramon Calderon intends to keep the promise made during his election campaign by netting the Golden Boy. The Merengues are reportedly ready to invest up to £43m for the Champions League top scorer and could include Emerson in the deal, a midfielder liked by boss Carlo Ancelotti, as well as Fabio Cannavaro. The story adds that Kaka would also be willing to make the move despite his status as a Milan fan favourite. "I don't want to start a war, but I would be happy to join Madrid," he is quoted as saying. Although Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has insisted that the South American is untouchable – no matter what offer is tabled – Real are still keen. It’s understood that Madrid officials Predrag Mijatovic and Franco Baldini have already been in touch with Kaka’s agent over a possible move. The 1982-born starlet joined the Via Turati outfit in August 2003 after Chelsea were pipped to his signature. Meanwhile, a report in Marca claims that Ancelotti could take over at Barcelona during the summer. That, however, seems unlikely given that Ancelotti is in talks over a Rossoneri extension following Champions League glory. --- blah~blah~blah~ -- "A Monaco abbiamo portato Gila a Manchester. 在慕尼黑,我們一起把吉拉帶到曼徹斯特。 Ieri abbiamo portato Paolo Maldini ad Atene. 之後,我們一起帶著保羅‧馬爾蒂尼走到雅典。 Adesso dobbiamo portare Ronie a Tokyo". 這次,讓我們一起帶羅尼一起去東京。 -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 59.121.191.8

While both Ramon Calderon and Pedja Mijatovic continue to reiterate their desire to land Kaka, their stand seems to have softened. The player swore allegiance to Milan recently, insisting that he owed the Rossoneri, and wanted to respect his contract. "I feel myself at ease over here," he had said. "I owe a lot to this club and I have a contract with them running until 2011. "I don’t think there is much else to say." The comment seems to have toned down Real Madrid's aggressive chase, or so suggest some recent comments. "Kaka is a great champion, and a fantastic player," began Pedja Mijatovic, speaking to Italian media. "A player like Kaka interests everyone, and Real Madrid are not an exception. "However, it is almost useless to speak of that, because it is a difficult piece of business, and he is now happy at Milan." Meanwhile club president Ramon Calderon has supposedly decided that there is no point throwing 80-100 million euros on one player. He supposedly has 60 million put aside from the money that has come in from the television deal, and is unwilling to go above that. Milan, however, are unlikely to even budge unless the sum edges closer to nine digits.
