Milan to sign Parma starlet Monday 2 February, 2009

Milan are to continue the rejuvenation of their ageing squad with
the signing of Parma starlet Marco Rossi.
The 21-year-old will become the third young defender to join the
Rossoneri in January, following Thiago Silva and Felipe Mattioni.
Parma are expected to loan Rossi to Milan until the end of the
current campaign. The Rossoneri will then have the right to buy
the player for a figure of around ￡2m.
The Italy Under-21 international has made 16 appearances for Parma
this season and has been on Milan’s radar for a long time.
The Rossoneri have seen their backline ravaged by injury this season
and need alternatives if they are mount a serious title challenge.
Milan beat Lazio 3-0 on Sunday to overtake Juventus and move into
second place in Serie A. They are now just six points behind League
leaders Inter.
