German champions Wolfsburg insist they have no intention of selling highly
rated Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko to Milan.
The 23-year-old finished the season with 32 goals in 34 appearances and won
the Footballer of the Year award in Germany.
Yesterday, Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani admitted the Rossoneri are
very interested in signing him this summer.
Dzeko did more than reciprocate, telling the Press he is ready to move and
has always dreamed of playing for Milan.
However, Jurgen Marbach, the Wolfsburg director general, appears unwilling to
listen to offers for his prize asset.
"Dzeko is unsellable. We do not want to sell the player," Marbach said.
"Today we will announce that we have not had any interest in him."
However, despite Marbach's assurances the Italian Press is convinced a deal
for Dzeko will eventually go through.
